These zucchini burgers had almost left before photographing them. These are the risks of having teenagers at home when you work in your own kitchen.

Zucchini burgers: a late summer treat

As a rule, I make a recipe, I shoot it, then I offer everyone who could walk near the kitchen. This person is generally my partner, Matt, who gives me a criticism and tells me if the recipe should be presented here on Snack Girl.

I appreciate Matt’s contribution but now that my son and my daughter are at home – it can be a fight to take the photo. They hover while waiting for someone to cook something so that he can jump on it.

They can both cook, but they prefer that someone else cooked for them. Tell me about that.

I grated the zucchini, carrot and onion in my food processor, then I mixed the other ingredients. Forming the pancakes is easy (although know that the liquid can ooze while waiting to be cooked).

I used my hands a lot to keep the pancakes in one piece before putting them in the pan.

After cooking them for about 4 minutes on each side, my daughter entered the kitchen and asked to eat them. Being a culinary blogger means that I have to photograph the food Before he was eaten. I cannot photograph my stomach full of my daughter as a representation of a zucchini hamburger.

Once I have finished, she eaten them all! She liked the addition of feta cheese. I think that the salty feta makes a nice contrast between the sweet carrot and the zucchini.

I find that if you call something a “hamburger” like my Mushroom lens hamburger or my Burger of Portobello – Your children will eat it.

My daughter thought it was not hamburgers but more like Latkes zucchini – but she loves Latkes.

Have you done zucchini burgers? What did you put in them? Please share. »’

1/2 yellow onion
1 large egg

You should be able to create about 8 pancakes.

Heat a non -stick pan over medium heat and add a non -stick spray. Cook on each side for four minutes and serve immediately.
