Hi friends! How are you doing? I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We are back from an incredible trip to San Diego feeling super refreshed after a lot of beach and friends. It was discreet, we had a lot of delicious dishes and we enjoyed sleeping and several trips in the ocean every day to “get our feet” (<- For children, it means all their body.) Today, I wanted to discuss a few vibrant plates and if I think it’s worth adding it to your routine. I have seen them everywhere lately – I’m sure you have it too – so decompos it!
What is a vibrant plate and do you need it?
If you have scrolled Instagram or walk in the aisles of your favorite fitness store lately, you’ve probably seen a vibrant plaque (also called vibration platform). They seem futuristic, promise big results and claim to improve everything from fat to lymphatic drainage. But what is the real deal? Do you really need it in your fitness routine, or is it just another shiny equipment that collects the dust in the corner of your home gym?
Today, I wanted to discuss these machines, what science says, for whom they are perfect (and which should avoid them) and a budget alternative which offers many of the same advantages.
What is a vibrant plate?
A vibrant plaque is a flat platform that uses vibration technology in the whole body. You stand, squat or even do strength exercises while it vibrates at different frequencies. The idea is that these vibrations stimulate your muscles, joints and lymphatic system in a way that regular exercise may not.
These devices were developed for the first time in the 1960s for astronauts to help prevent bone and muscle loss in null severity. Over the years, they have made their way in gymnasiums, physiotherapy offices and now home fitness areas.
Potential advantages of a vibrant plate
Although marketing can be exaggerated, there are certain advantages to note:
1. Improvement of muscle activation
Vibrations cause rapid muscular contractions, which can help improve strength and stability over time. Combining it with body weight or light resistance movements can amplify the challenge. It also adds a little instability, which encourages you to engage a little more your muscles and glutes.

Research suggests that training in vibrations can help improve the density of bone minerals, which can be particularly useful for women in perimenopause or menopause that focus on bone health.
3. Lymphatic support and circulation
Many people use vibrant plates to help support drainage and lymphatic traffic, which can leave you lighter and more energized.
4. Time economical coaches
A session of 10 to 15 minutes on a vibrant plaque can be surprisingly effective, especially on the days when you lack time. You may not sweat, but you will certainly feel it afterwards.
The disadvantages to consider
Before hitting “adding to the basket”, there are a few important things to keep in mind:
Not for everyone: If you are pregnant, have cardiovascular conditions, common problems or vertigo history, vibrant plates can do more harm than good. They can also be harmful to those who have nervous or circulatory problems.
Surial complaints: These platforms are not magic weight loss machines. They can support your routine, but they will not replace strength training, walking or a diet rich in nutrients. It’s just a bit like an extra shuny. *
Price: Quality machines can range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. An alternative for the budget: the rebounder
If your main objective is the improvement of lymphatic flow, traffic and low impact movements, a rebounder (a small interior trampoline) offers several of the same advantages for a fraction of the cost.

If you like gadgets, have the budget and want to add a single layer to your training sessions or your recovery routine, a vibrant plate can be a fun and efficient addition to your home gymnasium.
If you are looking for similar advantages without the high price, a rebounder is your best bet; And doubles a fun way to take your steps while watching your favorite show.
