Do you like red wine but do you want something lighter in summer? You will love this light blood recipe.

Light blood recipe

The idea is to marinate slices of orange and apple in wine with sugar, lime juice and orange liqueur. After preparing, you serve it mixed with club soda and cut alcohol (and calories) in half.

This drink is wonderful for a crowd but can also sit in your refrigerator for about 3 days (without the added soda club) to marinate. Like human aging, it is only improving over time (but the fruit begins to rot).

I like to make a pitcher and have a drink like a refreshing start for a grilling evening (and try not to cry for children while they were hitting football balls in your patio table).

It is a light and fruity drink (literally). It is also for those who have a frugal assignment when you double the amount of wine you use by adding the Soda club.

I always choose a very drinkable red (not sweet) for this recipe. My experience is that if it is too inexpensive, Sangria will not taste very good (and you will get a headache to drink it). Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec or Rioja will all be great and you don’t need it.

I use triple dry for this recipe. If you have not used it before, it is near the liqueurs and costs about $ 8 for a bottle that will last a lifetime. I mix it in my lighter Margarita Also.

I add sparkling water and club soda when I am ready to drink it. If you only serve half, then keep the Sangria Mariner for another day. This will only improve.

Eat the fruit! It’s like having an aperitif and drinking all in one.
