Share some of my functional laboratories for mothers over 30 years old.
Hi friends! How are you doing? What are you doing this morning? I have some calls today, a training session and an interview with the podcast this afternoon.
For today, let’s discuss one of my favorite subjects: functional laboratories. (Friendly reminder that this message is not medical advice. I am not a doctor, and these are just some of my favorite laboratories to run with customers. Before making health changes, contact your doctor.)
What are functional laboratories?
Functional laboratories go beyond the standard blood tests that you generally get to your doctor’s office. While conventional laboratories are looking for pathological states or markers out of reach, functional tests are designed to assess the functioning of your body Before Things go wrong. These laboratories can discover underlying imbalances in hormones, minerals, intestinal health, detoxification routes, etc. Often, before symptoms no longer become serious.
Unlike standard tests, functional laboratories often use non -traditional samples such as saliva, urine, stools or hair (instead of, or in addition to blood). This allows a more detailed view of what is happening at the cellular and metabolic level. For example, a mineral analysis of hair tissues (HTMA) can show mineral imbalances and heavy metal toxicity, and a salivary cortisol test can trace your stress response throughout the day – things that you will not generally see on a blood truck panel.
These tests are incredibly useful for creating targeted protocols that support healing to the deep cause, rather than just managing the symptoms. They can also be completed at home, making them super accessible.
Functional laboratories for mothers over 30
If you are a woman over 30 and you have the impression that your body does not answer as it was before – your energy, your sleep is incoherent, your training sessions do not work and your mood looks like roller coaster – it’s not in your head. It may be time to look under the hood!
The functional laboratory test is one of the most stimulating things you can do for your health. Instead of guess which supplements to take or the diets to try, The tests give you data. This gives you clarity. He tells us where your body is unbalanced, and more importantly, which we can do about it.
(It should be mentioned here that these tests do not look for diseases and are not used to diagnose the disease. Instead, they look at deficiencies and toxicities so that you can work to put the body back to balance.)
These are the basic functional tests that I recommend to many customers of my friends over 30 years old. These can be particularly useful if you are in their thirties, quarantine or beyond, and you want to be ahead of symptoms like:
Hormonal imbalance
Fatigue and Burnout
Weight gain (despite “good things”)
Mood swings or anxiety
Difficulty sleeping
Intestinal problems and bloating
Hair loss or skin changes
My favorite balance of laboratory laboratory
1 and 1 Stress, mood and metabolism test
This is a GameChanger. THE Stress, mood and metabolism The test gives us an instantaneous of your sex hormones (such as estrogens and progesterone), your stress hormone (cortisol), your thyroid (TSH, T4, T3, T3 inverse, antibody) and the key markers of insulin and blood sugar.
Why is it important: these systems are deeply interconnected. If you feel an obstinate weight, fatigue, irregular cycles or mood swings, this test can show you the full image. Many women are surprised to note that their symptoms are linked to a thyroid function or to a cortisol dysfunction, and once we know what’s going on, we can create a targeted action plan.
2 Organic acid test (OAT)
Consider this as an internal bulletin on the functioning of your body. Oats Look at more than 70 markers related to intestinal health, detoxification, neurotransmitters, nutrient levels, mitochondrial function and even the proliferation of yeast or mold.
Why this counts: if you have mysterious symptoms that do not seem to be connected – or if you are just exhausted, misty or inflamed all the time – this test is so useful. It often reveals hidden imbalances that other standard laboratories are missing and gives us a clear direction on the place where to support your body with targeted supplements or protocols. This can be particularly insightful for autoimmune, digestive, skin and mood problems. Check it here.
3 and 3 HTMA (mineral analysis of hair tissues)
It is one of the most underused, but incredibly precious tests in functional medicine. THE Htma Look at your mineral balance (such as magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium and zinc) and toxic exposure to heavy metals (such as mercury, lead and aluminum).
Why is it important: minerals are the ignition candles of your body. When unbalanced – often due to stress, use of birth control, poor digestion or chronic infections – this can affect energy, metabolism, thyroid and detoxification paths. We also have an overview of the adrenal function and your nervous system. It is a low -cost non -invasive test that can offer massive information, and it is often the one with which I start.
4 IGG food sensitivity test
Although this is not always necessary for everyone, food sensitivity tests can be useful if you have trouble with unexplained bloating, skin problems, joint pain or fatigue; Especially when these symptoms persist even with a clean diet.
Why this counts: food sensitivities can create low -grade inflammation in the intestine, which can manage in hormonal health, immune response and energy. This test Can give us a temporary roadmap for what to withdraw or reduce so that the intestine can heal.
Here is the overview
These tests do not concern perfection or “biohacking” your path in stress. It is a question of obtaining answers. And from these answers, creating a plan that seems durable and personalized.
With the right data, you can:
Sleep better (and deeper)
Finally, have regular energy again
Feel mentally clear and emotionally anchored
Balance your hormones and improve cycle health
Understand exactly what your body needs right now
Stop wasting money on the supplements you don’t need
If you are curious about one of these laboratories – or ready to start – I would like to help you understand the best starting point. I offer these laboratories as part of my coaching packages 1: 1, or as autonomous options if you are just looking for clarity / data.
Have you done functional laboratory tests? I would love to hear what your experience looked like!
