This is the recipe for fresh tomato sauce for now! These tomatoes are literally riding in stores and producer markets and it is the time of year when they have the best.

This year, I taught How to grill tomatoes And I made a delicious Cold tomato soup But there is nothing like fresh tomato sauce.

It is so easy to do this – if you haven’t done – you will wonder where he has hidden all these years. The key, of course, is the coolest tomatoes you can find. These polystyrene tomatoes will not work in this recipe.

Just one side on the pasta. I only use whole grain pasta (just like my bread). You cannot miss it in the alley of pasta and it comes from all the different forms.

In a portion of angel hair (2 ounces), there are 7 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein in these pasta – which is made with an ingredient – Durum wheat flour with whole grains.

Does it taste? YES! This is what you put on it. I like more hazelnut flavor but it is not so different from ordinary white flour pasta.

Back in the sauce !! Everything you do is roughly chopped tomatoes – no sowing or coat is necessary.

Then you mix it with fresh basil, garlic, olive oil and a little salt and pepper and let it rest while you do other important things.

That’s it !! To heat it, you serve it on the hot pasta and you can add grated parmesan if you feel fanciful.

The time it rests allows tomatoes to ooze their juice and pasta soaks when you launch it. This sauce is so good !!!

Do not feel that you need to eat this on the pasta. You can put it on toast or pour it on a spaghetti squash or zoodles.

Ingredients

1 ½ pounds of fresh tomatoes, roughly chopped
1/3 fresh basil cup, chopped
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
2 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Mix the tomatoes, basil, olive oil and garlic in an average bowl. Leave (covered) at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes. Serve on pasta, bread or squash.
