It is the best recipe for lean Margarita. The good news is that a Margarita easily becomes a low -calorie cocktail.

All you have to do is avoid the huge cup of Margarita from a mud machine.
I really hate being a snob but these frozen margaritas are not the authentic drink. When I order a Margarita in Mexico, I have a drink with tequila and lime on the ice.
This skinny recipe from Margarita is completely out of my Mexican vacation (it seems so long). The main flavors should be lime and tequila – not sugar.
To make a cocktail in a “lean” version, you need to cut the sugar you add. It makes it easy in a martini (no sugar to start), but if you like sweet cocktails, it’s not easy.

I used agave syrup in my best recipe for lean Margarita because what is better associated with tequila than “honey” made from the same plant?
If you don’t have an agave syrup – no problem! Make a simple syrup which is a combination of 1 part of dissolved sugar in 1 part of water. You can’t just add sugar to the drink because it might not dissolve.
As for tequila, I like a Blanco for my Margaritas but you should go with your favorite. Here is your drink – you are the bartender – so use what you like. I spend more to get a quality tequila because cheap stuff gives me a mega headache.
I tighten 1/2 lime for glass and a few weeks ago, I shared my favorite juice Greek vinaigrette recipe.

Julie R. commented that I was using my juice in the wrong direction! Thank you, Julie! You crush the “Butt Up” lime and get more juice.
I love this community of readers – you are so useful to each other and me. Now I squeeze my files in the right direction.
