My daughter thinks these Chocolate Chip Banana Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies should be called “bites” instead of cookies.

I know what she’s saying because this recipe doesn’t use the creamed butter and sugar found in the usual definition of “cookie.” But if you can convince yourself that this healthy alternative is a real cookie, you’re all set!
I saw this recipe on WW and decided to try it. One member discovered that she ate it to curb her gluttony and it worked. I crave sweets when I’m tired and thought this would be a great way to get some energy.
I also love coffee and anything that goes with a cup of coffee is a treat.

The main source of sugar for this recipe is the natural sugar found in bananas. I was surprised how well the mashed bananas imitated butter and sugar. Banana puree even looks like butter and sugar.
Instead of peanut butter, this recipe uses PB2. PB2 is powdered peanut butter – essentially what’s left over when manufacturers extract peanut oil. PB2 is very low in calories and adds a pleasant flavor.
You can make them in one bowl and in no time.

They come out soft and will do well if you store them in an airtight container.
You can make these cookies for your gluten-free friends by making sure to use gluten-free oats. These cookies don’t spread when baking or get stuck together with sugar, so you need to spoon them carefully.

After placing them on the cookie sheet, I press them down a little.
What do you think of Chocolate Chip Banana Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies? Would you like to try them?
